
CIC engaged Sudden to transform their existing brand and web presence to better reflect both the depth of their content and the quality of their cable partners’ programming. The challenge was to develop a platform that built a new relationship between the user and the
content. Traditionally, its audience would use the site in a very tactical manner, searching for a single piece of content, without exploring other associated media, and in the end, not getting a fully satisfying user experience. Our solution was to create content relation modules that would help visitors explore by media type (articles, videos, audio, tools, etc.), as well as by clearly defined categories, and the filtering of content by name, date and brand. We also concentrated on providing a design that delivered enough sizzle without forgetting the fact that this is an audience that is more interested in ease and utility than the “wow” factor. This site features video content from all major cable networks as well as information on Digital Citizenship, a primary mission of the cable industry.
