An intranet is a private computer network that uses Internet Protocol technologies to securely share information and operations within your organization – as opposed to the internet, which refers to a network between organizations. Sometimes the term refers only to the organization's internal website, but also may be a more extensive part of the organization's information technology infrastructure, and consist as a platform for internal communication and collaboration.
